THE HEART BEHIND THE MISSION

Thank you for your interest in learning about Thrive at Life!

God put it on my heart some time ago to start a mission, a mission that would support and empower children and families like mine. I am a mother of two boys, and my first child was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. It was a time of uncertainty for us, but through that uncertainty, I knew God had a plan for my son and a plan for me.

My son, now 16, has brought me on a journey of growth and faith. Through these years, God has opened my eyes to the great need in our communities. Autism can often make families feel isolated, and the everyday challenges can seem overwhelming, but we must hold onto God's promises and know that He has a purpose for every life.

As you may know, about 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and these individuals and their families often face unique challenges. At Thrive at Life, we aim to provide not only practical tools and skills to help them navigate these challenges but also the love, hope, and strength found in God’s word. We believe that through faith, education, and support, individuals with autism and their families can lead lives filled with purpose, joy, and growth.

Services include:

  • Faith-based mentorship and support for individuals and families affected by autism
  • Spiritual enrichment and prayer groups that foster a sense of belonging and spiritual growth for individuals and families affected by autism
  • Summer Camps for children and teens with autism and their siblings, providing a safe and fun environment where they can learn and grow, while families enjoy much-needed respite.

At Thrive at Life, we know without a doubt that none of this would be possible without the Lord. It is by His grace, wisdom, and provision that this mission was birthed and continues to grow. He has faithfully guided every step, opened every door, and sent the right people at the right time. Every breakthrough, every joy-filled moment, and every life impacted points back to Him.

We give special thanks to our pastors and church family, whose ministries, sermons, and prayers have sown into this mission in ways they may never fully see. Your faithfulness, spiritual guidance, and unwavering encouragement helped prepare the soil for Thrive at Life to take root. We hope you know how deeply your influence has shaped the heart of this work.

To our dedicated Thrive at Life team — thank you for leading with love, faith, and compassion. Your commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces for our children is the heartbeat of all we do.

To our volunteers, who show up with open hands and open hearts, thank you for giving your time, your energy, and your love. You are the hands and feet of this mission in action.

To our family and friends, thank you for standing behind us, lifting us up in prayer, offering encouragement, and believing in this calling every step of the way.

And to the incredible children and families we serve — you are the reason we show up. Your joy, strength, and uniqueness inspire us daily. You remind us of the beauty of God’s creation and the power of love that sees beyond limitations.

Together, we are more than a program — we are a movement of faith, love, and community. And the best is yet to come!

With gratitude,

Britni
