Life coaching provides a safe, structured space for young people on the autism spectrum to grow, thrive, and gain the skills they need for a fulfilling and independent life.
At Thrive at Life, we focus on key areas like social skills, emotional regulation, independence, and self-advocacy, equipping individuals with the tools to confidently navigate the complexities of everyday life. Our program is designed to meet each person where they are, helping them build lasting skills, develop meaningful relationships, and truly thrive.
Our current project is to become an approved Vocational Rehabilitation provider in the state of Florida. This will allow us to launch a day program that focuses on life skills, job readiness, and personal growth in a faith-based, supportive environment. With your help, we’re building more than programs—we’re building futures!
Autistic individuals may find it difficult to plan and organize tasks, manage time effectively, and follow through with tasks, especially when faced with distractions or changes to their routine
Forming and maintaining friendships may be difficult due to challenges with social interaction, reading nonverbal cues, and understanding social norms.
Sensory sensitivities—such as being overwhelmed by noise, bright lights, or certain textures—are common among autistic individuals and can impact daily functioning.
Due to their challenges in social interactions or misunderstandings with others, some autistic individuals may struggle with self-esteem or self-worth.
Supporting young autistic individuals in developing life skills requires patience, structure, and understanding. By focusing on areas like social skills, emotional regulation, independence, and self-advocacy, we can help them navigate the complexities of daily life and build the confidence and skills they need to thrive. Tailoring support to their unique needs and abilities will make a significant difference in their growth and development.
Autistic young people may have difficulty identifying and managing their emotions. They might become easily overwhelmed, have trouble coping with frustration, or have outbursts when stressed.
Many autistic individuals may struggle with expressing their needs or asking for help when they need it, either due to difficulty with communication or fear of judgment.
Many autistic young people may need additional support in acquiring basic life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, self-care, as well as financial goal setting and budgeting
Coaches help clients set meaningful, achievable goals in areas like school, work, social life, or independence.
Many on the spectrum have strong interests and talents—coaches can help channel those into real-life growth.
“Let’s take your passion and turn it into a plan.”
Coaches can role-play conversations, teach social cues, or help with conflict resolution in a nonjudgmental, supportive way.
This is especially helpful for building confidence in friendships, relationships, or job interviews.
Many individuals on the autism spectrum struggle with things like organization, time management, and task initiation.
Life coaching offers practical tools and accountability to support daily routines, planning, and follow-through.
“Let’s break this down into small wins so it feels doable, not overwhelming.”
Life coaching offers a Christ-centered space where individuals on the autism spectrum can discover their God-given identity. Coaches help clients embrace who God created them to be, grow in confidence, and learn to advocate for their needs with boldness and grace.
We believe each person is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), with a unique purpose in the body of Christ.
It’s not about fixing—it’s about walking in the fullness of who God designed them to be, loved, seen, and empowered to thrive.
We work with parents to help them understand their child’s unique needs, support independence, and improve communication at home as well as help with along their parenting journey.
